ICC-ES came into being earlier this year, when the United States' four building-product evaluation services—National Evaluation Service, ICBO Evaluation Service, BOCA Evaluation Services, and SBCCI Public Safety Testing and Evaluation Services, Inc.—consolidated their operations under the new name.
