A rabies subunit vaccine by the synthetic or recombinant DNA approach The question under consideration is whether or not it will be possible to achieve protection against rabies virus infection by immunization with a chemically synthesized or recombinant DNA-expressed polypeptide.
Different strategies are: • Using the engineered vector (e.g., Vaccinia virus) that is expressing desired antigen as a vaccine • The engineered vector (e.g., yeast) is made to express the antigen, such is vector is grown and the antigen is purified and injected as a subunit vaccine.
